About The Instructors

Kathryn Bruni-Young and Jules Mitchell

Kathryn Bruni-Young and Jules Mitchell collaborate again on this newest project, Strength 101. Kathryn runs a successful online studio featuring strength training and yoga and Jules specializes in biomechanics continuing education and advanced yoga teacher training. They are both committed to teaching the components of strength in a kind, non-judgemental way and delivering scientifically accurate information in a simple and understandable way.

Kathryn and Jules combine forces to deliver an online course that examines what it really means to get stronger. As strength is gaining visibility as an important factor in overall health and longevity, it is being promoted within an entire collection of modalities, including yoga. With strength being everywhere now, it’s hard to know what exercise parameters constitute strength and how to most effectively achieve it. With Kathryn’s passion for strength training and Jules’ extensive background in exercise science, together they have created a course that includes the basics of both the theory and practice of getting stronger. Teachers and students alike will enjoy their uncomplicated approach that demystifies what strength is, how it works, and how to gain it.
