Jules Mitchell’s 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training includes 2 required in-person modules, homework before and after the modules, select bonus online lectures, and an elective module with a South Asian/Desi teacher. In-Person modules are hosted by Jules in Las Vegas, NV. Guest faculty will also be presenting live and in-person.

Content is heavy on biomechanics, principles of exercise science, applications of pain science, neurophysiology, and stretching. These themes are combined with somatics, motor control theory, pose analysis and purpose, use of props for specific adaptations, pathology, restorative yoga, and intentional sequencing. Participants will learn to read original research papers and analyze them for both their strengths and their biases. Critical thinking and intellectual discourse are central components in this training, which was designed to help teachers navigate through contradictory perspectives and empower them with education.

Join now to learn loads while meeting like-minded colleagues and forging lifelong friendships.

COURSE SCHEDULE

Module One
June 4 – June 18, 2022
Las Vegas, NV

Module 2
Sept 10 – Sept 24, 2022
Las Vegas, NV

Elective Module 3
Indigenous Teacher Self-Study
Not Included in Tuition

Learn biomechanics, pain science, and somatic movements from leaders in their respective fields. Learn to apply this knowledge to group yoga classes and private sessions alike.

General schedule for Modules 1 and 2 includes full days during normal business hours each weekday. During the weekend in the middle, Saturday will be a partial day and Sunday will be off entirely. You will be expected to collaborate with others and present a group project at the end of each module. Time will be set aside during the scheduled hours for you to meet with your groups. That said, socializing outside of training hours is strongly encouraged as it is one of the best ways to assimilate the information.

Module 3 is a self-selected program designed to round out your personal yoga education. You may choose from a lecture series, a webinar, weekend course, or something more involved, as long as it is created and presented by an indigenous teacher.  Topic should support any areas in which your continued education and previous experience is lacking. Previous participants have chosen topics such as yoga philosophy, yoga therapy, pranayama, cultural appropriation, social justice, and marketing. In the first module, together we will create a database of qualifying coursework, so start researching teachers and their work that wish you to share with the cohort. Jules will approve submissions and work with individually to help you choose a program from this database that is right for you.

“I feel incredibly grateful to have been a part of this training in general and especially the group of women who came this year. I can’t even quite imagine what other training I will take that can top this in terms of experience (NOTHING) or content-Jules’ expertise mixed with the guest teachers was just the best.

“The caliber of content as well as the way the material is taught is unbelievable. This training is one of a kind and once in a lifetime. Thank you for everything!!!”

“Time in discussion with peers. Time in lecture. Time to implement with exercises like the body part (anterior knee), 3 constraints (prop, pose type and skill) and case study. And of course experiencing in my own body the restorative poses, your classes and Shelly’s practices.”

“I learned SO MUCH. I have a much more clear and and comprehensive understanding of the body. I recently got a new yoga anatomy book and I’m finding it so easy to read…. and am able to pick out the dubious claims haha! I really appreciated the time between modules to digest, kinda wish we had a third module! I loved all of the different voices. I learned so much from everyone. You did a fantastic job with all of the tech stuff, too. Honestly, the extra work you had to do to run this training is insane.”
